Parent-Teacher Interviews - 29 June to 3 July

Rockdale Public School is committed to implementing quality, innovative programs for our students and focussed professional learning for our staff.

The strong partnership of the school, parents and teachers ensures success and quality outcomes in the arts, sport and academia.  Our achievements are underpinned by strong Student Welfare and Learning Programs implemented to address to cognitive, moral, aesthetic, civic and emotional needs of our students.

Rockdale Public School offers:

  • A stimulating and vibrant learning environment catering for individual needs and talents.  We offer a range of extension and enrichment programs in Visual Arts, Computer Technology, Science, Maths Olympiad, Public Speaking and Debating, Chess and Performing Arts.  Early School Support Program (ESSP) supports the learning needs of K-2 students who require additional assistance.

  • Our dynamic staff bring a diversity of skilled expertise to work Stage Teams, planning quality teaching, learning programs and assessment tasks for all students.  All teachers are committed to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement thus ensuring "best practice" pedagogy.

  • Welcomes and values diversity.  A variety of cultural background enriches the learning experiences of all our students.  This provides a fantastic grounding for their future.  We welcome parent involvement in both the classroom and all our school activities.  Parents and students, together with a dedicated staff, are active partners in celebrating one another's achievements with openness and honesty.

  • Empowers students through leadership opportunities that build individual character and promote social responsibility and respect for others within a safe and caring environment.  Our students participate in Peer Support programs, Student Representative Council Meetings and Buddy Programs.  Our students organise and host School Assemblies and special events.  This helps them to develop responsibility, independence and problem solving skills in a co-operative work environment.  Students offer each other friendship and acceptance while developing confidence and self-esteem.

It is an honour and a privilege to be part of a school community where pride, respect, self-worth and diversity are valued and displayed by all.
